Surprising punch for the size

I bought these for the size and weight and was hoping for decent sound. I was looking for something I could use for a small club or backyard party etc. This fills the bill for solo performance in a room up to 50 people or so. The sound is surprisingly full. None of that awful sizzle that piezo horns get. Background music sounds like a decent stereo – a definite improvement over similar but much less expensive systems. The channels are flexible. I like how channels 3/4 and 5/6 handle stereo sources and has stereo output. You can plug an iPod into 5/6 for background music during breaks by using a 1/8" TRS cable. Setup can't be easier. There are recessed sockets for speaker stands. Cons: very few. Though the sound is great, a 2-way system with 6" speakers can only get so loud. I wish the designers had thought to put a speaker stand socket in the central amplifier module, also. I would have liked to cost less, of course, but it does sound better than other small portable systems. You get what you pay for. It does weigh around 25 pounds. I am going to find a small roll-away suitcase for when I have to carry it any distance and to keep it from being scratched during transport. It will also give me a convenient place to store a couple of mics and all the usual cables.
