Epi LP Studio alpine white

Great guitar! Plays very smooth right out of the box. I've owned one before and regretted selling it. Glad to have one again. Tone is very good, I can't tell the difference in my Epi and my friends Gibson! I know others can but for me , I'll save the cash and stick with Epi studio! Worth every penny!s123GrizzGrizz

Nice Ax, Low Price!

I used to have a Guitar and Amp shop! These Epis are as good as any of the '70s Gibsons! I have 33 guitars, and 2 basses. I have the Alpine White Studio, and it is as good as my Epi LP Std Plain top Cherry Sunburst! Lots of Tone, and Bang for the Buck. I/ll gig with it anytime!

for Les money, more Paul

This is a really nice guitar. I had a Gibson faded LP for 9 years, had many probs with it structurally, 3 times at the shop. Last year I renounced my entire collection and got rid of 40 years of guitars, bought one Epiphone Sheraton. Neat, but I needed a dedicated lead guitar where playing up high is allowed. This Epiphone LP is much better than the Gibson I had. I warmed into an hour of playing it last night and I got a bit over-excited and was merciless on the switch during J Beck's 'She's A Woman'. This LP took it like a man. Did you know that Les Paul played an Epiphone Les Paul? I've had a dump truck of guitars, but this one rides up front. Buy it. Play some Who, Led Zep or Cream on it....sounds like the record, right? Very very cool.
Music background: Old beaten up guitar player.

Carved top, Les Paul sound all the way!

Ours arrived without a single blemish anywhere.Wow. Grover tuners.Excellent. Pickups provide the real-deal Les Paul sound with full size potentiometers;all four had the exact same feel when turning, volume and tone were USA smooth.Amazing. It has one fret that needs a bit of filing, although it is a minor thing overall. The set-neck is butter smooth with white finish and the fretboard is Gibson-close.Yeehaw. Plays and sounds as good as many Gibsons,it's weirdly hard for me to accept that the build quality is so good. For this price? Get one of these, and a case. Save your money for pedals and an amp>

Epiphone Delivers The Goods

Out of the box, one string out of tune.Tuned, un-plugged the cable from a Strat, plugged the Studio into a VOX tube amp with pedal set up for a Machine Gun-Hendrix sound. First sensation upon holding it, was a long-lost,but familiar feel of the first time I played my Les Paul as a 16 yr old pup. Sounded absolutely amazing. Pleasantly stunned, best feeling ever! Pure Les Paul tone, authentic. Really nice neck;frets needed no filing or dressing-up,which is a first.I opened up cover/plates on back to examine electronics harness and pots/caps.Full size potentiometers Made In Korea, yet near CTS performance, cheap tone caps, tho. Soldering was very good on every point, and the wire quality is surprisingly good. 3-way switch got a work-out from me and I eventually got it to make a minor glitch sound. I shall replace caps and 3-way switch, plus input jack. The Seymour Duncans I was going to place in this guitar are now on a shelf, awaiting another axe. The guitar has it's own true tone;be a sin to mess with it. This guitar was played through a professional, studio grade amp set up, and sounded as good as the Gibson's in the house. Seriously. Played as well, too. One happy picker, here!
