Configured for precision, speed, and incredible playability

Get the jazzy, funky, bluesy tone that Eric Krasno gets with his band Soulive. The slim, semi-hollowbody styling and big tone of this axe gives you the sonic tools you need to cover any style of music. Between its set 3-piece neck and smooth-playing VSB80 vibrato tailpiece, the EKM10T provides you with absolutely rock-solid performance. What's more, the smooth Artstar fret-edge treatment and bound ebony fretboard make this one of the most comfortable guitars you're likely to get your hands on.

Classic humbuckers meet sophisticated tone options

The Super 58 humbuckers in the Ibanez EKM10T deliver smooth and fat semi-hollow tone. With just the 3-position toggle alone, these classic PAF-style humbuckers provide you with a beautiful range of warmth and clear projection. What's more, the Super 58 humbucker gives the EKM10T a touch of grit that's perfect for bluesy licks. Take it from the Sweetwater crew - the Ibanez EKM10T Eric Krasno signature guitar has the tones you need for any gig.

Smooth-playing ebony fretboard with binding and fret-edge treatment

One thing that sets the Ibanez EKM10T apart from other hollowbodies at this price is its bound ebony fretboard, complete with Ibanez's Artstar fret-edge treatment. The high strength and density of ebony is common on high-end instruments, and the fretboard binding adds an elegant look while also enhancing playability. The frets are rounded at the edges to complete the smooth feel. If you play it without looking at the price tag, you may think the EKM10T would cost much more than it does.

Ibanez Eric Krasno Signature EKM10T Semi-hollowbody Electric Guitar Features:
  • An amazing semi-hollowbody electric guitar based on Eric Krasno's own custom Ibanez model
  • Flamed maple top back and sides with a 3-piece set neck provides strong and sweet fundamental frequencies
  • Super 58 humbuckers with 3-way switching deliver massive tonal options
  • Gold hardware, including an ART-2 roller bridge and a VBS80 vibrato tailpiece look great and offer excellent playability
  • Medium frets with Artstar fret edge treatment and bound ebony fretboard feel great and play amazingly
  • Additional appointments include Mother-of-Pearl and abalone block inlays and full binding

Artcore Custom or truly something different?

As a long-time player of Ibanez Artcores I was skeptical of this model at first. I've owned just about every Artcore hollow-body that Ibanez have produced (AFS75T, AF95, AFS95T, AS93, AS103, AF105, AS153) so another flashy Artcore guitar with a signature artist's name on it didn't really excite me too much. But I've listened to Eric Krasno for a long time now and I figured, "what the hell?" I'll try it, just to see if having his name on a guitar really made any tonal difference to the instrument. I have an AS93-BLS at the moment which cost me maybe $500 originally. I had that guitar worked on by a local luthier and it is just one of the best guitars I've ever owned. So the EKM had a lot to live up to if it wanted to impress me at this price. I also just got rid of my Gretsch 6137-TB Panther so this thing needed to perform to live up to it's hype. Suffice to say; this guitar is all it is cracked up to be. Very bright, even, with an excellent playing fingerboard. Very nice wood and finish. The Bigsby is well installed and aside from some creakiness (WD-40'd it) it performs perfectly. I have no complaints about this guitar. Great right out of the box. And it's a really gorgeous looking axe as well.

quality hollow body

I wanted to try a hollow body electric and I picked the right one. I played the similar 500 dollar version and it felt easy to play, nice neck, good action. but this is even better and good looking too.

Sweetwater Advice

Ibanez Eric Krasno EKM10T

At first grasp, the guitar just feels solid - it's obviously a tool for hard-working players, not a watered-down version of a marquee signature model. Straight out of the box, it was ready for nearly anything I could throw its way....
