This full 24 3/4"-scale electric guitar fits easily in airplane overhead compartments or your luggage. What's more, the EG-1 Custom is a favorite around Sweetwater because of its impressive headphone amp, which comes complete with distortion (accessed via the push/pull tone knob) and a built-in tuner, so you can rock out anywhere - even in your hotel room when you've arrived at 2:00AM.

Ditch the bulk, not the scale length

Sure there are other so-called travel guitars out there, but the Traveler Guitar EG-1 Custom gives you something those shrunk-down models can't: real full-scale feel. That's because the EG-1 Custom's unique design manages to lose the excess bulk without trimming down its scale length. You don't even need to buy special strings! In the end, the EG-1 Custom gives you a super-portable guitar that still feels and acts like a regular, full-sized instrument in every way that matters.

Top-notch tonewoods and killer looks to go

An upgraded version of Traveler Guitar's original Escape EG-1 electric guitar, the EG-1 Custom gives you excellent tonewoods and classy looks to boot. First, there's the EG-1 Custom's combination of a lightweight and resonant alder body with a bound African mahogany neck - a tonewood combination that perfectly balances warmth, sparkle, and bite. Add to that gold hardware and block fretboard inlays and, small as it is, the Traveler Guitar EG-1 Custom is one good-looking electric guitar!

Packed with goodies and loaded with tone

No matter what guitar you play, nothing is more important than your tone. That's why Traveler Guitar loaded the EG-1 Custom with a full-sized classic-style humbucker. It sounds awesome! But when you show up at your hotel in the wee hours of the morning itching to rock out before you crash, no one's going to want to hear how great your axe sounds. Lucky for you, the EG-1 Custom features a built-in headphone output. Want to kick in some distortion? Just pull up on the tone pot and dig in. And since there's no point in playing out of tune, you'll also be sure to appreciate the Shadow tuner onboard your Traveler Guitar EG-1 Custom electric guitar.

Amazing value for a travel guitar

I bought this a few months ago specifically to practice in my car on my 1 hour lunch at work. The thing works great out of the box. I put my preferred strings on it and adjusted the action to my liking and i love the thing. I practice almost every work day with it. Structurally, its near flawless. I have no issues with QC. The only downside with the guitar is the built in headphone amp inst the best sounding. But the pickup sounds fine when i use my VOX headphone amp. It also comes with a "Shadow Tuner" that is built into the pickup ring. It works great. It seems to tune it just as well as any other tuner i own. If you are on the fence about buying a travel guitar, get this one. It's lovely to look at and the play-ability is great for such a small guitar (normal scale size, smaller frame).
