Seymour Duncan JB and '59 humbuckers
ESP loaded the EC-1000 Piezo with a popular and versatile set of Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups. First, there's the Seymour Duncan '59 neck humbucking pickup that gives you creamy PAF tone with a full voice and an articulate top end that sounds great clean or through a high-gain circuit. It's the perfect complement to the Duncan JB model humbucker at the Eclipse EC-1000 Piezo's bridge position, whose much hotter output lets you slam the front end of any amp or stompbox for tight and punchy sounds that cut. The EC-1000 Piezo includes a 3-way pickup selector and push-pull for coil-split tones.
Acoustic and electric tones
To gain maximum versatility from the LTD EC-1000 Piezo, ESP outfitted it with the industry-leading Fishman Powerbridge. This TOM-style bridge is embedded with piezo pickups, so you can access rich and natural-sounding acoustic tones as well as the aggressive sounds offered by the magnetic humbuckers. You can use a single output and switch between the two or blend each sound with the onboard mini toggle. Alternatively, you can utilize the dual outputs for sending the magnetic and piezo signals to their own amplification simultaneously.
