Single-cut body style blends classic looks with modern performance
Nothing screams hard rock like ESP's LTD Eclipse body style. The extra mass of this single-cutaway design gives the EC-1000 truly epic sustain, while its slightly arched top provides comfortable hand positioning, regardless of your playing style. Add to that a super-sharp cutaway for unfettered access to all 24 frets, and with the EC-1000 from Sweetwater, you're equipped for all manner of rock, metal, and shred tones.
Seymour Duncan MortalCoil: myriad sonic possibilities
Seymour Duncan’s MortalCoil pickups are a new evolution of active pickup design, born from over half a century of experience. Perfectly calibrated as a matching set, MortalCoils offer three distinct voicings that Sweetwater guitarists can’t get enough of, turning any guitar into a veritable all-in-one tone machine. Voice 1 is brutal and relentless, with a tight low end, sharp presence, and a balanced sound perfect for high-gain styles such as modern metal. For a lighter touch, Voice 2 faithfully reproduces the crisp highs, sustain, and full-bodied bite of Seymour Duncan’s popular JB and Jazz humbucking pickups, delivering an organic, passive-style tone. Finally, Voice 3 offers sparkling split-coil tones that rival single-coil pickups, great for clean, blooming tones and light gain. Internally, an advanced preamp ensures clarity and definition no matter the voice, with masterfully designed circuitry that extends overall battery life and performance.
TonePros bridge and LTD locking tuners
Players who are particular about tuning, action, and intonation will delight in the EC-1000's TOM-style TonePros bridge/tailpiece and locking LTD tuners. The TonePros is a common aftermarket upgrade on many single-cut guitars. Its six adjustable saddles provide precise intonation and enhanced sustain for chords and leads. At the other end of the guitar, a set of LTD locking tuners provides slip-free performance for stage and studio tuning stability you can depend on.
