What is the Ernie Ball Guitar Polish with Cloth used for?

The Ernie Ball Guitar Polish is formulated to clean, shine, and protect your instrument's finish. It effectively removes fingerprints, smudges, and light grime, restoring a brilliant luster to your guitar. The included soft microfiber cloth ensures a streak-free application, helping to maintain your guitar's appearance and preserve its finish over time.

How do I properly apply the Ernie Ball Guitar Polish?

For best results, first wipe your guitar with a dry cloth to remove loose dust. Apply a small amount of polish directly onto the included microfiber cloth, not directly onto the guitar's surface. Gently wipe the finish in small, circular motions. Then, use a clean, dry section of the cloth to buff the area until it achieves a brilliant, streak-free shine.

Is this polish safe for all types of guitar finishes?

This polish is generally safe for most common gloss finishes, including polyurethane and lacquer. However, it's always wise to test a small, inconspicuous area first, especially on vintage or delicate finishes, to ensure compatibility. Avoid using it on matte, satin, or unfinished wood surfaces, as it may alter their appearance.

How often should I polish my guitar with this product?

The frequency depends on your playing habits and environment. For regular players, polishing every few weeks or months can help maintain its shine and protect the finish from buildup. For daily clean-ups, a dry microfiber cloth is usually sufficient to remove fingerprints and light dust. Over-polishing is generally not necessary.
