Flatwound Warmth with Signature Slinky Playability
Ernie Ball’s Slinky Flatwound electric guitar string series combines the warmth and mellow richness of the flatwound tradition with the effortless playability of Ernie Ball’s legendary Slinky series. These cutting-edge strings are precision wound using a cobalt alloy ribbon wire, resulting in a slightly more defined sound and less finger noise than your typical flatwound. Moreover, Ernie Ball Power Slinky Flatwound strings forgo the flatwound-standard wound G string for a plain G — a spec swap that Sweetwater guitarists find makes Ernie Ball Power Slinky Flatwound strings an ideal choice for both guitarists dipping their toes into the flatwound scene and longtime flatwound aficionados seeking a string set with superior bendability.
