Power Slinky Purple Strings

Ernie Ball strings have been a top choice for players of all types since the early 1960s, when guitarists came into Ernie Ball's music store, customizing their string gauges to make their axes easier to play. After fruitless attempts to interest major guitar manufacturers in a lighter set of strings, Ernie Ball decided to start making his own. When you open a pack of his strings today, you know you're getting a quality set of strings designed to give you great tone, reliable performance, and long life. You can't go wrong when you string up with Ernie Ball strings!

Ernie Ball's Power Slinky Purple electric guitar strings are made from nickel-plated steel wire wrapped around a tin-plated hex-shaped steel core wire. They offer a great balanced sound that's neither bright nor too dark.

Great strings

These are my favorite strings. Great compromise between bigger full sounding strings and playability.

Great Strings

I've had these strings on my Les Paul for about year now and they still sound good. When I first put these strings on they had bright clear amazing tone and stayed in tune and even a year later they still sound good. Overall I am totally impressed with these strings.

Love these strings!

These strings sound great and feel good. Use them on all my electric gits. In fact, I haven't had a new guitar yet that I haven't put these on in the first few days. Perfect for me.

Great Dig in strings

The ultimate thrasher set of strings, you can put alot of aggression on these for thrash metal, 9s need to be babied a little in comparison lol. These EB 48-11 stay in tune for sure in E, and are good for Eb and D as well. Very good elasticity.
Music background: 6 years of Guitar playing

Raw power

I have been using ernie ball strings for years. Used their .009s and .010s for a long long time but this last year I have been using these .011s and love them. Rough on your fingers at first but the tone you get is better than any band-aid.
