Convenient OLED display tells you everything you need to know

The Apogee Duet for iPad and Mac offers a full-color OLED display that gives you visual feedback for a number of functions, including metering, input/output value levels, muting, phantom power, and more. All of this information is also available in the convenient and well-designed Maestro 2 software for iOS. Beyond that, the Apogee Duet features two configurable touchpads, located on either side of its main encoder knob. Use them to quickly access output functions assigned through Maestro 2 such as mute outputs, toggle headphone source, dim outputs, and beyond.

Immaculate, next-gen AD/DA converters

At Sweetwater, we know that excellent sound quality is imperative when you're recording. Much like its mic pres, the Duet's AD/DA converters are the result of Apogee's no-compromise design, giving you the best possible audio and monitoring quality. Duet's advanced circuitry and state-of-the-art components deliver a streamlined signal path. The result? Amazingly transparent-sounding recordings.

World-class mic preamps

Duet's two microphone preamplifiers incorporate cutting-edge technology, giving you seamless gradation throughout their incredible 75dB gain range. This lets you dial in your ideal level with the main controller knob (or from within software), while enjoying amazingly low noise and stunning, lustrous detail. Duet's mic preamps play nicely with all dynamic, condenser, and ribbon mics, letting you capture audio without compromise.

apogee duet for iPad and mac

wonderful almost as good as Sweetwater

oh man

all the hype is exactly as it should be. got the duet, now i can't wait to buy the quartet. i was a little skeptical about running maestro software and what that would be like, turns out you can totally record in pro tools without even opening maestro (it's a neat and lightweight background program, not bad at all)

Rock Solid

This my first apogee interface. I own the Scarlett 2i2, Audiobox, 2 firebox, 2 Apollos, and more. I must say that this interface works great and sound good. It is easy to use and the drivers are rock solid. I bought my Duet 2 as a portable solution with my MacBook. I'm using it with pro tools 10 and it functions well. I love my Duet 2 and I am glad that I exchanged my Forte for the Duet 2.

Apogee Duet for iPad and Mac

I was going to ask Marcos Sanchez, my Sweetwater guy, why the Apogee Duet was so expensive, but after we brought it in and set it up I knew the answer. The quality is second to none! It's well built and enhances playback as well as recording. And frankly, I've never seen preamps with so much headroom. This little unit has truly revolutionized the way that we record and play back.

Couldn't be happier with it

Super clean with great preamps. Looks great and is easy to use. Perfect. I believe I can get radio ready recordings with this bad boy.
