DTX502 drum module brings you a great-sounding set of updated drum sounds

A wide range of realistic drum sounds await in the DTX502 drum module included in the Yamaha DTX532K drum kit. You get almost twice the memory and 250 more sounds than the previous DTX500 module. Yamaha worked with top VST developers to pack a lot of great-sounding samples into the DTX502 module, optimized for the natural response of the DTX532K kit.

3-zone cymbal and snare pads give you more expressive options

The DTX532K drum kit sports 3-zone cymbal and snare pads, which makes your performances sound far more realistic than single-zone pads. Even better, you can "choke" the cymbals by grabbing them anywhere on the edge of the pad. In fact, you can even mute a cymbal before striking it, an extra level of realism you don't get with many electronic drum kits.

Make practice more fun with the practice scoring feature

Whether you're a beginner or advanced player, the DTX532K electronic drum kit has smart practice features that are sure to hone your skills further. At Sweetwater, we think one of the coolest features is the scoring function. As you're practicing rhythmic timing, pad accuracy, and endurance, the DTX502 drum module can generate a score that you can use to track your progress. Practice makes perfect, and the DTX532K drum kit makes it fun.

Excellent

At 46 I'm new to drums. Wanted an electronic kit for noise control. What I got was a kit with fantastic sound and response. I did a lot of research on different kits before I decided to purchase this one. The bang for the buck, that I could afford, is fantastic. I plug in my phone or laptop for video lessons and to play along with songs as I learn them. Haven't got into customizing personal kits with the DTX502 yet, but there are plenty of preprogrammed kits to choose from to get me going and keep me going. The realistic sound coming from the Simmons DA50 amp or Yamaha HPT-MT7 headset I added are both unbelievable. Easy, straight forward setup, and away I went. Extremely pleased with this kit.

Not very good but it gets the job done

I had these drum set for 5 months now and I think that they are good especially for beginners. The sizes of the pads are ok except for the toms; they are kinda small. The hi-hat is ok; not very smooth in terms of opening and closing but you have 2 zones and you get the hi hat stand with the kit. There is a lot of kits for many different genres and each one is customize-able. The sounds are ok but some does not sound very natural; some kits sounds very artificial like the modern rock kit and metal kit.You have the capacity to add 4 more pads (1 input behind kick pad, 3 avaiable by using stereo splitter on toms). I like the cymbals; the sizes are pretty good and they are 3 zones each. The module can't make good snare and cymbal swells/rolls but overall it is ok.
