100% passive design pays tribute to the classics
The Cutlass Bass pays tribute to a time-tested favorite among bassists all over the world. Its fast-playing, 5-bolt maple neck and contoured ash body will be familiar to most players, as will the simplified bridge and controls. The humbucking pickup is offset: closer to the neck on the bass side, and closer to the bridge on the treble side. This warms and smooths out the low end and gives the high end better clarity. Large pole pieces give the Cutlass Bass a distinctly Music Man look.
