The True Vintage Wah Tone - Revived!

The Dunlop Cry Baby Classic uses Italian-made Fasel inductors - the same kind used on the very first wah effects pedals, including the legendary Cry Baby. The Fasel inductors were unavailable for a long time, but Dunlop's been able to bring the back, giving you the same incredible harmonics and that signature vocal sweep heard on countless classic recordings. The Cry Baby Classic sports the familiar, rugged, time-proven Cry Baby body style, including heavy die cast construction and a Hot Potz potentiometer. Give your rig that true vintage tone with the Dunlop Cry Baby Classic!

Dunlop Cry Baby Classic at a Glance:
  • True-to-vintage Italian-made Inductors
  • Same heavy-duty design

True-to-vintage Italian-made Inductors
Behind those legendary wah sounds of the 60s stood Italian-made Fasel inductors. The inductors were key to the pedals' signature sound, but were unavailable for years. Now, Dunlop's been able to bring them back - and they've put them into the Cry Baby Classic - so you can obtain the original lush harmonics and rich vocal sweeps that have defined so many timeless recordings.

Same heavy-duty design
The Dunlop Cry Baby Classic features the Italian-made Inductors, but Dunlop's left its time-tested, rugged design the same. You can be sure that the Cry Baby Classic will keep sounding incredible stomp after stomp, year after year.

Dunlop Cry Baby Classic Features:
  • Sports Italian-made Fasel Inductors
  • Heavy die cast construction
  • 100K ohm Hot Potz potentiometer
  • Requires a 9V battery or AC adapter
The Dunlop Cry Baby Classic revives that signature, vintage wah-wah sound!

Love It!!!

After using cry baby's for years, you just get used to their "sweep". The Cry Baby Classic has the feel of the original but with a VERY "vocal" sound. Once you hear one, you will know exactly what i mean by "vocal". It sounds equally great though a dirty or clean amp. For the price, it's hard to beat!

This is so smooth it is silk yet able to rock the tone to the Max!

This one has THAT sound for a good price

I have owned a few wah pedals over the years .. including the fulltone clyde which .. sounded great but was hard to tweak just the sound i wanted.. and ultimately i never got one to stay working.. this wah has that classic Terry Kath thru a twin on a strat big warm wah sound.. its not shrill or harsh... it has just the right amount of brightness on the top end... it sounds wonderful is heavy and well built and has a battery door( ahhhh...) and it doesn't have a bunch of knobs to make every sound under the sun ( which for wahs i hate ) .. it just makes that one singularly great wah tone . and its way less than a boutique pedal... why get the "oh it sounds just like..." get the real thing... this wah is excellent

The Industry Standard Delivers as Advertised!

I was looking to add a wah pedal to my board, not looking for anything fancy, expensive, or "signature" - just a basic workhorse, the CB classic seems to have fit the bill nicely. Very easy and simple to use. Sounds really good but a bit mild in effect and nothing that will likely set the wah world on fire!...on the other hand if you want the vintage wah sound without a lot of bells and whistles or over the top filter this may be the pedal for you. Priced right at Sweetwater too just under a C-note. Get your "shaft" wacka-wacka on!

Based on the original. This is the vintage wah sound of the '60s and '70s.
