The woods used throughout the active Cirrus 5 solidbody electric bass guitar are a blend of tried-and-true tonewoods and exotic pieces that offer a custom-shop aura to the bass. The wings of the body are made from alder, which has long been used in bass manufacturing for its lighter weight and even tone. A walnut top adds a bit more attack, and its chocolaty-brown hues look outstanding. The body is carved with an extended upper horn, which helps the instrument balance flawlessly on a strap. And the deep cutaway allows great access to all 24 frets.
18-volt active electronics packageThe dual active Peavey VFL humbucking pickups give the Cirrus 5 a powerful voice with a wide range of dynamic possibilities.
