Multiband L/C/R control
Here at Sweetwater, our favorite feature of CenterOne 3 is multiband L/C/R control, which divides your signal into Low, Mid, and High zones with adjustable crossover frequencies and slopes. Additionally, each band features dedicated Gain and Mute controls for Left, Center, and Right, enabling you to tighten low frequencies, sculpt the midrange, or open the high end without applying the same spatial balance across the entire frequency spectrum.
L/R and Center sonic sculpting
Leapwing CenterOne 3 includes two parametric EQ bands that you can assign to either the combined L/R component or to the Center. Thanks to this indispensable feature, you’ll be able to mitigate harshness in a centered vocal without dulling the stereo ambience of your entire mix, remove low-mid frequency mud from the sides while retaining a centered kick and bass, add openness to wide material without changing the tonal balance of the center, and make a multitude of other complex adjustments.
Sidechain dynamics
Bringing potent frequency- and position-selective compression into the CenterOne workflow, CenterOne 3’s Sidechain section allows you to use either internal or external detector sources to drive a target matrix of Low, Mid, and High bands across the L, C, and R components. With sidechain dynamics, you’ll be able to move a specific part of a stereo signal on demand, enabling you to perform such maneuvers as making room for a vocal or dialogue while leaving the rest of the image intact.
