Direct Injection and Line Isolator modes
There are few places that understand the desire to tinker with your gear setup better than Sweetwater — that’s why we love the Canvas Stereo DI box’s ability to switch between DI and LI modes!
Direct Injection mode: If you’re running a high-impedance source like a guitar or bass, the DI mode should be your first choice. This mode functions best with an output impedance of 1,000 ohms and above, and it applies a -20dB pad (-35dB with the regular pad engaged) to properly balance your sound levels.
Line Isolator mode: The LI mode functions similarly to the DI mode, but is better utilized for low-impedance sources like amp/cab sims, keys, synths, and any other source under 1,000 ohms. This mode will require significantly less preamp gain than DI mode.
