Initially emerging on the speaker scene as a modest operation emanating from a Kentucky-based garage, Eminence is now recognized as one of the largest and most acclaimed speaker manufacturers in the world. Today, the company offers impulse responses so that players can deploy Eminence speakers in digital form with their rigs of choice. The Cannabis Rex 12 IR captures a fresh and increasingly popular take on American clean tone. The hemp cone of Cannabis Rex 12 delivers invigorating clarity and brightness without compromising body or substance. Sweetwater guitarists find that Cannabis Rex 12’s plant-based cone performs similarly to a paper cone while adding more earthy vibrations and deep color. Get ready for smokey detail and euphoric top-end sparkle that’s perfect for country, jazz, classical, or any scenario that calls for laid-back cleans with a big personality. The brains behind Cannabis Rex 12 and other Eminence IRs? Michael Britt, who is affectionately known as “the Rembrandt of speaker impulse responses.” As a consummate IR connoisseur, Michael crafts Eminence impulse responses with at least seven microphone options, offering an expansive layer to help players further distinguish their tone. Plus, everything from an indestructible Shure 57 to Neumann’s detailed and delicate famous condenser mic is at your command.
