Totally Awesome

One of the finest amps I've used. It is well built. If you've had any doubts about buying an Orange. don't Get you one. I'm very satisfied with the purchase. Sweetwater had it to my door lightning fast. My only complaint is that it could have come with the foot switch.

Orange Crush 120

This is the best amp I have ever owned and along with the Les Paul I also got from Sweetwater it's a Great combination!! Brian Hughes was my sales guy and thanks to his help I was able to match these two instruments!! Thank You Brian and Thank You Sweetwater Music!!!

I'm not knocking it ...

Knock - knock. Who’s there? Orange. Orange who? Orange you glad you bought this amp? Yes I am! Long story short, I’ve been knob twiddling for years with solid state amps, tube amps, modeling amps and pedals, and for all my effort have never been ecstatic about my sound, or felt I had found MY amp. It bothered me that modeling amps don’t really have an identity. I started wanting to find THE one, an amp that is what it is, does what it does, has its own identity and helps me get mine across. The CR120C exactly fits the bill. The clean channel is chimey and crisp with plenty of headroom to keep it clean (I actually like the clarity of solid state when it comes to cleans), but it will break up slightly if you want it to. The dirty channel has a (really) widely variable gain and is beautifully responsive to variations in guitar volume and picking attack. Individual channel volume controls with a master volume make it easy to get the clean and dirty levels right. Digital reverb nicely complements the sound. This is a solid state amp said to be modeled after the Rockerverb, which tends to invite comparisons, but I’m not playing. I didn’t settle for this amp – this is what I wanted; I’m not judging it on how closely it compares to a tube amp. For my money, this is an incredibly outstanding value. Build quality: Rock solid construction and assembly, recessed hand grips on the sides. Aesthetics: Come on, it’s orange! Unique graphics, clean control panel layout, cane style grille, satyr/nymph crest ... My only comment is that the rear panel (where you would plug in your footswitch for instance) is not located on the rear of the amp. It’s actually up underneath on the inside. Think of the top control panel as the front, and picture what the rear of that would be; that’s basically how it’s oriented. A little inconvenient, but a long way from a deal breaker. Loving this amp! As always, great service by Ben and Sweetwater!

Orange amp

I've always been a Fender/Marshall guy and decided to try something new. After a lot of research I deceived on the Orange Crush CR120C, so far I've have been really impressed, the sound quality for my use exceeds the one I've been using by a mile. Very impressed with construction quality as well as the sound quality, a great clear clean sound and with one switch it will growl!
