The shoes left by its predecessor were anything but easy to fill, yet AlphaTheta’s engineers spent five years refining, testing, and integrating global feedback to ensure the CDJ-3000X would stand tall in the vaunted CDJ lineage. Under the hood, extensive fine-tuning is paired with an upgraded connectivity suite, leaving Sweetwater’s gigging DJs stunned by the effortless flexibility of the all-new NFC reader, enhanced playlist editing, and expanded 16-track capacitive touchscreen. Gate and Smart Cue: optimized for live innovation
Among the numerous performance-focused advancements made with the CDJ-3000X, AlphaTheta’s transformation of the player’s Cue capabilities opens explosive new vectors of live mixing potential. Your Hot Cue workflow has been overhauled to accommodate real-time track processing and analysis, while the Touch Cue feature lets you not only preview a track from any point on the waveform with just a touch, but you can also set Hot Cues at the same time. What’s more, Smart Cue makes this process even smoother, giving you a way to overwrite cue points instantly. For the DJs craving high-energy interactivity, Gate Cue is the answer. When enabled, Gate Cue transforms your Hot Cues into something more like a sampler or groovebox, playing audio only while the Cue button is pressed, supporting a deluge of beat juggling, mixing, and further imaginative performance possibilities.
NFC touchpoint and seamless support — USB stick, optional
With the advancements made to rekordbox’s mobile iOS/Android app, CloudDirectPlay, and the broader ecosystem of live-performance technologies, AlphaTheta endowed the CDJ-3000X with an NFC reader, conveniently mounted on the front of the unit. Now, using only your smartphone and the latest version of the rekordbox app, you can instantly access the entirety of your cloud-based library, including all the tagging and cue points you’ve processed and added to your sets. Similarly, this same single sign-on support works with a QR code. Built-in Wi-Fi mitigates cable clutter, while a trio of USB-C connections guarantees lightning-fast communication and information transfer across laptops, smart devices, and external storage. Plus, the CDJ-3000X automatically caches each track you load straight onto the unit, meaning any accidental disconnections to USB drives or external devices, as well as disruptions to your internet connection, won’t hinder playback.
Note: Access to and availability of streaming services, rekordbox tools, Cloud support, and CloudDirectPlay vary with region and rekordbox subscription status. Please contact your Sweetwater Sales Engineer with any questions.

The next-gen AlphaTheta CDJ-3000X trades its predecessor’s 9-inch resistive touchscreen for a vibrant, 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen, expanding your view to display 16 tracks at once, while interactivity across real-time playlist editing, tagging, cue-marking, Key Sync performance features, and beyond. On the hardware side, the robust aluminum chassis was constructed to guarantee durability in any club or festival environment. Moreover, AlphaTheta’s engineers utilized their state-of-the-art testing facilities to drastically reinforce the Play and Cue buttons, each of which was built to withstand 500,000 presses.
