Fantastic Bass Amp!

Normally, bass amps in this size/power range are pretty dull and boring. NOT the case with this Orange! Quality construction, but not heavy. I went with the black model, and I really like it. Understated, but the gold pinstripes are a nice touch. Sound is absolutely first-rate. Great, analog tone... warm, rich, and beefy low end, with a nice mid and high range. Love the ability to really fine-tune the tune the tone with quite a few different tone controls. The distortion/gain circuit is also a lot of fun. The built in tuner is also a really nice feature. Combo is not huge, and it is not heavy. However, it puts out a great amount of bass and volume. Will it work for a stadium gig? No, but for home use, venues like a church or small coffee shop, etc., it should work just fine. Ordered it sight unseen, and could not be more thrilled with it. Great job, Orange!

Great bedroom amo

For me it was between this an the a peg ba-115. I chose the orange bass on the fact that I have an orange ppc212 and dark terro head that is top notch. I never actually heard the a peg and on paper because I'm a rocker probably would have worked perfectly fine for me. But I wanted to buck the system and go with the orange. I love it. It really can do just about any type of sound I want out of it and is plenty loud for my purposes. I will never gig with it but I will rock my house and use it as recording rig into logic along with other items, I wish it had the ultra low button like the a peg but I know that's an amped thing. But the gain in this thing just gets down right gnarly. I love it. Only other thing is I wish it came with a foot switch like a guitar amp to turn the gain on and off, but it's not a two channel guitar amp so whatever. I dig it reguardless.
