The Ultrabass BX2000H's compressor transparently and musically smooths out signal peaks and increases sustain for a polished, professional sound that will quickly become apparent when you're slapping and popping or picking aggressively. "Thunder" Bass

This newer Bass Amp from Behringer is simply everything I have been looking for. I have owned the Behringer BX3000H and BX4500H (Class A/B Amps) of which I thought were both great and they are extremely reliable.I was a little hesitant moving to a new (Class D) switchable amplifier. Not anymore! Behringer got a bad rap for being one of the first to manufacture music gear in China. They set up a state of the art factory with unbelievable quality control thus the excellent products. Now almost all US music equipment manufactures make thier products in China. Imagine having (2) BX4500h's to drive your speakers! That is how incredibly powerful this amp is and the sound is excellent. Behringer made a Class D amp that delivers great bass! The 5 band EQ is one of the best I have run across and has just the right tonal range for Bass. I like the Bottom end and this Amp delivers. I was able to get rid of my dbx 266XL Compressor for my Bass because of this amps built in Compressor and switchable "Shape"control. Foot switch really adds to the ease of using this amp to deliver the sound you want. This also has (I am assuming) a switching Power Supply with no heavy transformers in it and it is easy to carry compared to past Beringer Bass Amps. This Amp is the best value around as far as I am concerned. I am using this with a 6 x10" Bass Speaker "Stack" The only thing I would like if it could be done is to be able to use this with a 2 Ohm Load. This Amps Power rating is based on 4 Ohm load which is what I am using. I am thinking of getting rid of my 210 Cab and getting another 410. This amp can more than handle it.

Silly Great

For three hundred bucks one cannot do better. Use the analog meter to adjust the gain. Make darn certain your speakers are up to it, and then stand back. This amp destroys $1800 Tech 21.

Awesome Power

By far the best bass head I have ever seen in 30+ years of playing bass. Tone is excellent and the lows are punchy with very nice treble. Did I mention the price. A steal at $299. Nothing else on the market comes close to this 2000 watt amp. Enjoy!

Nice, especially for the price

Nice amp, insane headroom. I know I could potentially blast my speaker out with the wattage on this thing, but I keep the output within reason. By the way that the amp is designed, it looks like the EQ is parametric, and that's what I was hoping for. It's NOT parametric, all 5 knobs are for a set frequency. Also when I got it in the mail, it was a little bigger than I was expecting, so make sure you look at the dimensions and weight specs. There's a tiny hint of white noise, it's not terrible though, I've heard much worse. I wonder though if the DI will bug sound guys for that reason, I'm not a huge techie so I'm not sure, I'll have to ask the next soundguy I work with. Here's what I like about it (but first a caveat story). -----I bought a pibass before this, because it had a parametric eq on it. It sounded good and worked well with my electric, but when I tried to knock out ugly frequencies on my upright bass pickup (realist pickup), there wasn't enough headroom to raise the volume, I had both input and output cranked and still not enough. I had it returned for that reason----- This amp (behringer) managed to put the frequencies about where I wanted them to be knocked out, which is very fortunate as I was hoping it would be parametric. So when I turn them way down, there's plenty of gain to compensate for the loss of volume, end result: a pretty decent upright bass pickup sound that I could turn up loud if I need to. And, I'm happy with my electric bass sound through it, no complaints, there's nothing fancy to it and I like that. I really can't complain for $300.

great value and big power

Behringer is always in a class of its own when it comes to value. I needed a high power practice amp quick and cheap. The bx2000h has great power. It replaced an ampeg I was using and it has twice the power and more eq options. The only negative is the slight white noise. The tone is pretty dry or transparent but at this price it's acceptable. There are better sounding options out there buy you will pay the price. I also use it for a keyboard amp sometimes. Overall very pleased.
