Total DAW Integration Meets Effortless Plug-and-play Mapping
Offering seamless integration with Bitwig Studio and Ableton Live, the Bitwig Roto-Control gives you tactile, hands-on control over your projects. Eight motorized knobs provide you with real-time, interactive control over your tracks and plug-ins, along with haptic feedback, intuitive mapping, and instant recall. Nine LCD strips automatically synchronize track and plug-in labels directly from your DAW sessions, negating the need for manual setup and customization. Moreover, you get 16 backlit RGB LED buttons for added control. The Roto-Control isn’t limited to Bitwig Studio and Ableton Live; you can use it with any MIDI-equipped hardware or software, including synthesizers, lighting, and media applications. You also get simple one-step record and playback, enabling you to automate and loop MIDI parameters on external hardware and software alike using the Roto-Control’s motorized knobs. Boasting versatile functionality and lock-tight DAW integration, the Roto-Control redefines precision control for modern music production and performance.

From session to session, the Roto-Control remembers everything
The Roto-Control enables seamless synchronization with your Bitwig Studio and Ableton Live sessions, with all track names and colors instantly visible on its LCD strips. Full MIDI mastery beyond Bitwig and Ableton
While the Bitwig Roto-Control certainly makes for a stellar controller for Bitwig Studio and Ableton Live, at Sweetwater, we’ve found that it can do much more than that. For instance, you can use it to control any MIDI-capable device, such as hardware and software synths, other DAWs, lighting, and media applications. Moreover, you can use it standalone — no computer required. Roto-Control can store up to 64 MIDI Setups, each consisting of up to 32 knob and 32 button assignments. Beyond that, Motion Recording allows you to use the Roto-Control’s motorized knob technology to automate and loop MIDI parameters on your external hardware and software via simple one-step record and playback functions. You can record up to eight parameters per Setup, save up to eight MIDI Setups with Motion Recording, and use the internal or an external MIDI clock with anywhere from 16 to 64 step recording lengths and with forward, backward, random, and ping-pong playback.
Learn, customize, control — in seconds
You’ll rarely find a MIDI controller that’s as fast and easy to set up as the Roto-Control; it can learn a plug-in or MIDI parameter — automatically — in mere seconds. It learns plug-in controls instantly, including the plug-in name and parameter names. Best of all, once it learns a parameter, it saves it locally for instant recall. You can customize your plug-in or MIDI Setups with names, color codes, and more. You can also learn and customize knob and button names, colors, haptics, minimum and maximum values, steps, and more using the Roto-Setup app. Finally, you can take firm command of your hardware setup, saving up to 64 different MIDI Setups, each containing 64 control assignments.
