8-channel Analog Output Expander for BSS Soundweb London Systems
The BSS Soundweb London system is a flexible solution for networked audio installations in commercial buildings, houses of worship, and professional recording studios. Available in numerous configurations for Dante, CobraNet, AVB, AES67, and more, Soundweb London’s BLU series signal processors and I/O expanders provide nearly limitless scalability to meet your facility’s requirements. The BLU-BOB1 break-out box output expander adds analog audio outputs to the Soundweb London system, with a low-latency digital audio bus featuring 256 channels that connect to the network via Cat 5e cabling. Networked audio experts at Sweetwater know that the two factors needed for a stellar networked audio system are functionality and usability, and BSS Soundweb London, along with the BLU-BOB1 output expander, is an excellent choice for providing both.

High-quality analog outputs for audio recording and commercial sound applications
The eight high-quality analog outputs provided by BLU-BOB1 are great for recording applications and can simplify cable routing in a multi-room recording facility. Home recordists can also take advantage of BSS Soundweb London networked audio system and BLU-BOB1 to expand their recording options. You can track anywhere in your house — drums in the basement, guitar in a bathroom, vocals in a dedicated vocal booth — without messy cable runs cluttering up rooms and hallways. For commercial installations, BLU-BOB1 presents a simple way to output multiple audio devices, such as music players, computer audio, and public address systems, to your network. And for mounting options, BLU-BOB1 is housed in a handy half-rack size chassis for installation into a traditional rack system, using the optional BSS Audio 1U rack-mount kit. It can also be mounted under tables (and other surfaces) or wall mounted with the included mounting brackets.
Simplified channel configuration
For channel configuration, BLU-BOB1 is equipped with six DIP switches located on the back of the unit. The group of outputs is assignable to any eight-range block on a 256-channel digital audio bus, depending on how the DIP switches are set. For instance, when all six switches are in the ON position, the BLU-BOB1 outputs occupy channels 1–8; however, if the sixth switch is in the OFF position, the BLU-BOB1 outputs are assigned to channels 9–16. DIP switch settings for the channel assignment are printed on the unit for easy reference.
