Commemorating Buddy's 100th Birthday
Buddy was the master. No one can dispute that. Tone, technique, showmanship — the man had it all. From Trick Drums of Chicago, a city Buddy loved, comes a signature snare in honor of his 100th birthday. The BRD100SD expertly tops a 3mm aerospace aluminum shell, chosen for its organic tone and sensitivity, with a host of classic appointments and a CNC machined "BR" badge. The Trick GS007 throw off mechanism delivers a wide range of snare options, loose or taught. Each of these limited-edition snares comes numbered and hand signed by Buddy's daughter Cathy.

3mm aluminum shell
The Trick Drums Buddy Rich snare drum shell is crafted from 3mm of AL13 aerospace aluminum. The tone is balanced, organic, and crisp, with great projection and the kind of sensitivity that Buddy sought out in his Fibes snare drums.
Buddy Rich appointments
Crowning the aluminum shell is a blue-tinted White Marine Pearl wrap, a set of vintage-inspired beaver tail lugs, and the iconic "BR" Buddy Rich shield badge.

A player's drum
Buddy's daughter Cathy insisted that the Trick Drums Buddy Rich signature snare be a player's instrument, durably built and priced to be enjoyed. Sweetwater feels the BR100SD succeeds in being both a snare drum that Rich collectors will seek out, and a solid instrument for studio and session work.
