Great pedal

If your a BE fan then this pedal is for you. Fully adjustable gain and eq tone make this pedal a hit! I love that I can achieve great tones and gain I need at low volumes for practice as well as for when I am playing with my pals Pricey but very good! No regrets!

Friedman Power!

Amazing pedal, so much gain you will not need any gain in an amp, controls to shape the sound are great, gives you many options, super cool styling in the Artisan edition. One of the better pedals I have purchased and used at gigs. By the way, I use an ampless set up with an IR box handling the cab simulation and this pedal gave me a lot of flexibility especially in the "gain" territory. Pro sound, Highly recommended!

Friedman BE-OD Ltd.

Was on the fence on getting this pedal as like most of us we already own too many pedals. I'm glad I did get this!! It is by far the best sounding distortion pedal I've ever heard!! No it's not an overdrive pedal sorry Dave Friedman you crazy genius. If you are a fan of the brown sound, early Van Halen albums and the plexi dimed tone do not delay get this pedal!!! There is nothing like it anywhere. The Sweetwater limited edition is cool and of course I think it looks better than the original BE-OD, but these Ltd.'s do suffer from the problem that the paisley design print has the words for the knobs barely legible and it makes it hard to see what knob does what. But the pedal is perfection in high gain awesomeness.

Wow I am Speechless

I bought this as a OD pedal thinking you know a little green sound in front of my amp. I decided like any to try it on the clean channel of my EVH 5150 III head just to see what the pedal could go. I had gain on the peal at 9 (because I figured start with very little gain() and the internal trim gain at factory 12. I set the bass and treble and pres to 1, the volume at unity, and tight all the way down. I played three chords and my draw dropped. This isn't a distortion pedal is it? I realize my amp is voiced for high end gain but my word on the clean channel I am getting close to Pantera distortion with the gain almost down. I have a JCM 800 2304 with the nice brownish grill and this pedal is around 95% percent accurate but actually better sounding. This thing is just ridiculous!

The Absolute Best Pedal

This is without a doubt the best sounding pedal I have ever bought. I was blown away by the tone! No matter how you set the knobs it sound fantastic. Definitely has that driven old tube amp sound. Sounds great even in front of the crappiest amp. I turned the pot on the inside down to the minimum gain so it would clean up a little more but still has tons of gain when turned wide open. This pedal makes me want to throw the rest of my pedals in the garbage. I definitely recommend.
