Furthermore, a 12-inch Jensen C12K speaker equips this amplifier with a vintage-flavored, mid-forward voice, but with a bolder sound than its mid-1960s counterpart. This incarnation of the Fender ’65 Deluxe Reverb brandishes a Baltic birch plywood cabinet with eye-grabbing Black Panel aesthetics, including a black Tolex covering and a silver grille cloth.

Upgraded by the SWX Mod Shop
The in-house technicians here at the SWX Mod Shop upgraded this Fender ’65 Deluxe Reverb with our most-requested mods, so you can benefit from them as soon as you unbox your new amplifier. First, we added a rear-panel midrange control for the Vibrato channel, enabling you to dial the amp from standard Black Panel tones all the way to scooped and mid-forward Twin Reverb–like tones. Next, we modified the tremolo speed to a slower rate to provide you with a wider range of effects than a stock circuit. Finally, we wired the amplifier’s reverb and tremolo effects to the Normal channel, which enables in-phase simultaneous use of both channels via a jumper cable between the input jacks (cable sold separately). What’s more, this amplifier is backed by Sweetwater’s exclusive 2-year Total Confidence Coverage warranty, which protects you from product defects and malfunctions — a must-have since modding the amplifier voids the manufacturer’s warranty. Definitive Fender Black Panel cleans
The ’65 Deluxe Reverb just bleeds tube tone. Powered by four 12AX7 and two 12AT7 preamp tubes, two 6V6 output tubes, and a 5AR4 rectifier tube, the amp also features tube-driven reverb and tremolo. The ’65 Deluxe Reverb has been the ultimate combo amp for anyone who craves pure Fender tone but doesn’t need a ton of wattage. The ’65 Deluxe Reverb is perfect for rock, country, blues, or fusion guitarists who want a moderately powered amp to crank up on the gig or in the studio.
