Excellent case for international travel
I purchased this case to transport a used SG-style guitar to Brazil after watching in horror as a ground crew allowed a Gibson hard shell case fall about 10 feet off a conveyor belt while waiting to board a flight at a US domestic airport. The case is extremely durable and the construction quality is excellent. Most important, my guitar arrived safe and sound at its destination after being checked at the gate for three different legs of the flight.

Be warned, however, that this case is heavy. That's offset by the fact there are wheels on one end that allow you to roll the case through the airport to your next gate. One nitpick is that the handle at that end of the case will sometimes catch on the ground and give a big thump when you try to back up.

I would buy another SKB iSeries case for any of my future guitar purchases.

Good fit , good storage, a good case.
This case fits my guitar like an absolute glove. It will not move once it's sat in place, nothing touches anything on the headstock (you'd think this to be a simple thing in guitar specific case design, but I have an SGJ in a Gator case and the case leaves the treble side tuners against the case wall, something I'm not fond of.), and most of all, even though I don't intend to fly with my SG, I do intend to travel around, playing amsller gigs, jamming, and I certainly intend to protect it, and not only would I fly with this case, but I'd almost be comfortable throwing it down a flight of stairs.

I do have one almost issue, more just something that makes me nervous still as both my SG and the case are new to me, and that is that the fit is in fact so tight, that when I close the case, I do have to give a couple centimeters of push to get the seal going the case and to latch the latches... Whether that's me smashing the case into the guitar? I don't really think so, and only time will tell, either way, just something I figure I'd point out about it.

Ive got a Les Paul in the standard Gibson case, and i like it, but I like this only a little more, the storage is optimal especially, and the color on the interior is a nice touch against my guitar as well. Very comparable to the more durable Fender cases, which I also very much love. All in all I'm very impressed. Makes pulling out my new SG an even more rewarding feeling experience that it already was.
