Nothing Sounds Better Than A New Set Of Strings!

Elixir Strings with the Polyweb coating have the warm tone and smooth action of non-coated strings. The ultra-thin Polyweb coating keeps these strings sounding fresh and new for a lot longer than conventional strings. They have a mellow and warm tone, and maintain their original sound and feel longer than most strings.

Elixir's 80/20 Bronze strings present a smoother, mellower tone than Phosphor Bronze resonator strings. They tend to assume a warmer glowing tone, and the Polyweb coating further subdues their high end, resulting in a rich, full-bodied tone.

Reviews

Really nice
Just got these dialed in on my Regal lap steel (actually a round neck with a nut extension - i will be putting on a bone full height nut next week). Yes, it's a newer Regal but after some mods it's low end really opened up. Anyway these Elixirs provide a solid, sweet tone both loud and subtle. Good harmonics, little noise, and nice pitch. It's like the strings are now working with the guitar bringing out the guitar's natural tone - which I really like. Really nice.
Music background: 55 years playing guitar, one year playing lap steel
Very Good Product
Since my first pack of Elixir not long after they were invented I've used no other. For years I had to change out other brands after just four hours of use (one gig) due to I guess me having high acidity that simply crusted over the strings with corrosion. Not Elixir. They also can be cleaned up a bit after months of use and return the ring. I've tried other brands of coated strings but they just don't seem to have the sound and lasting power of Elixirs.
