Genuine Fender Replacement Neck

For repair, replacement, or restoration, Sweetwater guitar techs recommend OEM parts. This genuine Fender Stratocaster Neck combines an elegant aesthetic with a flawless fret-hand feel. The maple fretboard features a 9.5" radius, with a Soft "V" profile on the back of the neck. Complete with a synthetic bone nut - with string-location grooves - this Fender Stratocaster Neck won't disappoint.

Note: Every neck and guitar is different, and a final setup, including filing the nut slots and a final fret leveling, may be required after installation on your guitar. Call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer with any questions you have about upgrading or replacing the neck on your Fender guitar or bass.

Awesome!

This neck is just amazing! Fortunately I did not have to do any fret dressing, leveling, so forth. I was expecting to do some kind of work to the frets but this thing is smooth as butter right out of the box. The entire neck is gloss urethane and it looks incredible under lighting. I dropped this neck onto a matte purple 2006 MIM Fender 60th anniversary Strat. It fits like a glove. Had to drill a small pilot hole for the string tree on the headstock. Also need to file the nut just a bit to lower the string action. Fender mentions that they give you pilot grooves to get things started. So don't worry if your strings at the nut seem way high, it just means you need to file the slots in just a bit. Check out the pictures! The pickguard in the pics is the Fender Standard Strat HSS Pickguard - Aged White Moto, which I bought from Sweetwater. Thank you guys at Sweetwater for getting me this neck so darn quick! Got it before the weekend recording session, heck yea!

Great neck

. Anyway, I have tried many Lic. by fender necks for allot less and have been disappointed with them all, especially the Mighty Mite neck...and I always wind up coming back to this neck...One reason is that it requires very little work and the holes are pre-drilled so if it just won't fit in the neck pocket (or what ever the reason) and you want to return it, you can. I gave this four stars because it's not a nice thick V like on the 56 re-issue or the American 50's strat ... but, this neck comes as close to a soft V as you are going to get with a 9.5 radius... and most others claiming the same are not even close. It's a great feeling neck and OH, one last thing... you will have to replace the plastic nut on it to something more usable like a Tusq nut or bone but if you don't want to fool with that right away...it still plays great right out of the box.

Fender Classic Player 50s Stratocaster Replacement Neck

A high-quality, bolt-in replacement neck that fits perfectly. This is a beautiful neck and is predrilled for Vintage Fender Tuners, my favorite tuners. The 9.5" radius is a nice upgrade over the vintage 7.25" radius and provides excellent lead guitar work. Like any neck, there is some setup work, mainly on the nut, to get the string action where you like it on the lower frets. I upgraded a 1954 Road Worn Stratocaster with this neck to give better action for lead guitar work. I will only buy Fender logo necks, they are worth every penny, and give you the mojo that comes with the Fender logo. Also, the MIM necks are top-notch.

Outstanding Service from Sweetwater

They say you know your friends are when things go wrong and Sweetwater certainly proved their worth and stepped up to the plate. Through no fault of their own the wrong item was dispatched but it was not a simple task of sending a new item. The team at Sweetwater had to open every box to check that the Fender's label matched the contents and then dispatch a new one to my address in the Middle East. I am impressed with their service.

Fixing of the arm itself was for a copy Strat that I was renovating. To that end I wished that Fender had published the dimensions. There was some angst in preparing the neck pocket which was too shallow and the neck itself was narrower than the old one. Both issued were overcome with some diligence. The neck had to be straighten but there is still a slither of a bow albeit acceptable, and the machine tuners (purchased also from Sweetwater) holes widened.

Once fitted intonation was almost spot on with a perfect low action. The fret work is a dream and playability is a joy. The tuning at others frets are out though. For example, the C note at the 1st fret B string is way too sharp. This margin reduces incremental until it is perfectly inline at the 12th fret. But it is after all a refurbished copy with genuine Fender parts and I think this is as good as it gets, which leaves scope to acquire a genuine Fender Strat in future and tops marks to both Sweetwater's service and Fender's product.

A Great Neck Saves a Guitar from not being used!

So I needed a replacement neck for a vintage style Japanese Strat I have as I wanted a flatter radius with medium jumbo frets. I received it a couple of days ago and I have to admit that before opening the box I was skeptical as to what the quality would be. I did a complete visual inspection and I found that the finish is neat and without flaws and the frets are good all-around and without rough ends or high spots. I then installed it on my Strat and did a quick set up so I could test it. It plays perfectly on every fret! Not only is this a good value but it high quality work. I'm very happy with this purchase.
