A type of filter based on the image impedance electronic design principle, which was named after Otto Zobel of Bell Labs who published a paper on image filters in 1923. A Zobel filter can be set up as a low pass, high pass, band pass, or band-stop filter. It can also be used to set up a flat frequency response attenuator.
