Developed exclusively for Macs equipped with the new Intel CPU, Waves Version 5.9 features exceptionally efficient processors, optimized especially for Intel-based Macs. Waves sent us a big chart that shows the performance benchmarks on the new Universal Binary versions – and it’s impressive. Just as an example, with a Mac Core Duo 2.16GHz, you could run up to 11 instances of Waves IR1 Convolution Reverb or an astounding 240 instances of its Renaissance 6-band EQ. Version 5.9 is available to all users with current Waves Update Plan coverage.
