Volta Interfaces

There has been a lot of interest in MOTU’s recently announced Volta plug-in, which can send DC voltages out of the audio outputs of a PCI, USB, or FireWire audio interface for the purposes of controlling an analog synthesizer. We’ve been asked a number of times which interfaces will be compatible with the plug-in. At this time – and keep in mind, the plug-in is not shipping yet – the only interfaces we’re sure will work are MOTU interfaces. It is possible that interfaces from other manufacturers will also work, but until we have confirmed compatibility, our suggestion is to stick with MOTU for this application.
