A descriptive term sometimes applied to audio. “Veiled” is usually taken to mean a lack of clarity or lack of detail in the audio, particularly in the high frequencies. This can be the result of some other frequencies or sound obscuring the detail, poor tracking approaches or quality, a less-than-optimal playback system, or other causes.
