USB 3.0 B-Type

Also known as a “SuperSpeed” connector, the USB 3.0 B-Type connector is intended for use on peripheral devices. Compared to USB 2.0 connectors, the USB 3.0 B-Type connector has additional pins( nine pins versus four pins) that help support faster communication rates. However, unlike USB 3.0 A-Type connectors, USB 3.0 B-Type connectors are not backward compatible with earlier connectors.
