In conjunction with Apple’s October 26 Leopard roll-out, Roland announced full Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard)> compatibility for 38 Edirol products after releasing driver updates earlier this month. The Leopard-compatible list includes the following Edirol devices:
- USB 2.0 Audio Devices: M-16DX, UA-101 USB 2.0 mode, UA-1000
- USB 1.1 Audio Devices: M-100FX, PCR-1, PCR-A30, SC-D70, SD-90, UA-1EX, UA-3FX, UA-4FX, UA-5, UA-20, UA-25, UA-101 USB 1.1 mode, UA-700, UR-80
- USB MIDI Devices: UM-1 Series, UM-2 Series, UM-3EX, UM-550, UM-880, PC-50, PC-300, PCR-300, PCR-500, PCR-800, PCR-M1, PCR-M30, PCR-M50, PCR-M80, PCR-30, PCR-50, PCR-80, SC-8820, SC-8850, SD-20, SD-80, SK-500
- The FA-101 and FA-66 FireWire audio interfaces use Apple’s native drivers built into the Mac OS X platform.
TASCAM has posted updated Windows Vista 32 and 64 drivers for their FW-1082, FW-1804 and FW-1884 audio interfaces. Windows Vista is Microsoft’s latest PC operating systems. In addition, drivers for TASCAM’s legacy USB products, the US-122, US-224 and US-428 have been updated. Nearly all of Tascam’s interfaces have now been updated to support Windows Vista. The new drivers are available as a free download for registered owners of Tascam products. The company also announced that Windows Vista drivers for the Tascam FireOne are in development and should be available soon.
