Universal Audio has announced the new UAD-powered API Vision Channel Strip plug-in along with version 7.3 UAD software for the UAD power plug-ins platform and Apollo and Apollo 16 interfaces. The API Vision Channel Strip features five API modules: the 212L Microphone Preamplifier, 215L High/Low Cut Filters, 235L Gate/Expander, 225L Compressor/Limiter, and 550L 4-Band Equalizer. Each is a faithful emulation of the module found in API’s flagship Vision analog console, including modeling of the 2520 API op-amp and transformers. More than 70 artist presets are included, from such noted engineers/producers as Joe Chiccarelli, Neil Dorfsman, David Isaac, Nathaniel Kunkel, and John Paterno.
Version 7.3 is the latest version of UAD software, and includes a demo version of the API Vision Channel Strip.
