Universal Audio has just completed a move of its headquarters and manufacturing operations from Santa Cruz to Scotts Valley in California. The relocation was necessary as the company was simply running out of room at its previous facility. It has expanded its product line to include 14 hardware products, 10 UAD DSP Card products, and more than 30 Powered Plug-ins. At present, UA employs approximately 65 full-time staff. This move will give the company room to grow, both in terms of manufacturing space and in the number of employees. Despite the chaos that typically surrounds a total relocation, UA also managed to find time to release Version 4.8 software for the UAD Family of DSP Cards and Powered Plug-Ins. The new software includes 14-day fully functional demos of the company’s new Precision Maximizer and Precision De-Esser. Registered UAD customers can purchase full authorizations of either at special introductory prices. For more information, call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer.
