Tuchel is a company that is currently an independent operation within the Amphenol corporation. Both companies are most known for building connectors used in electronic and industrial applications. Tuchel is well known throughout Europe as the makers of the semi-popular DIN connector used on some hi-fi audio equipment. The phrase “Tuchel Connector” is basically synonymous with this connector in many circles, though Tuchel certainly does make other types of connection products.
