An assembly containing all of the components of a speaker driver – the frame, cone, terminals, and voice coil – with the exception of the magnet structure. In the event of damage or a problem with the driver, some professional speakers allow the basket to be quickly and easily replaced, which saves money over replacing the entire speaker.
