Sweetwater is happy to announce that after many requests from our loyal customers we have taken on the Manley line. So far we have received their single and dual mic preamps, the Massive Passive stereo tube EQ, and the VariMu, which is their extremely popular compressor that is based on the old Fairchild 670. Awesome stuff. We’ll be receiving more of their great products in the next few days and weeks.
The Sweetwater/Digidesign tour is expected to master yet another new town. On May 23 we will roll into the mighty metropolis of Akron Ohio wielding the awesome power of Digidesign recording systems. If you or anyone near you wants to see first hand what can be done on a Pro Tools or 001 system we’ll see you at the Holiday Inn on Medina Road with show times of 4:00 and 7:00 PM. Sonic Foundry and Ernie Ball (interesting combination) have combined forces to sponsor a contest for the best guitarist and bassist on the Web. Winners will receive an all expense paid trip to the next winter NAMM show in Los Angeles to jam with an all star band. So far musicians scheduled to perform include: Steve Morse, Vinnie Moore, Albert Lee, Steve Lukather, John Petrucci, Dave LaRue and Tony Levin.
