Here’s a handy Mac tip from Sweetwater’s own Danielle Teagarden:
“Hit ‘Apple-D’ whenever you’re prompted to choose a ‘Save’ destination for a file, whether you’re downloading a file or saving a file from the computer itself, and the Save window< will immediately jump to your Mac's Desktop as the destination for saving. How convenient is that? All this time, I’ve been clicking through to my Desktop…here it is in one keystroke.
“For downloading, I prefer using the Desktop to using the Downloads folder because the downloaded file is more visible and I actually ‘do’ something with it when I’m done, rather than leave it to eat up space. This is also a great way to have a convenient place to quickly bounce your audio tracks to.”
