The current update includes improved real-time performance on Power Macintosh G4/Dual 1.25 GHz computers and more. The current DVD Studio Pro update addresses issues with setting dual layer break points on DVD-9 projects and flagging of Dolby Digital 5.1 streams. Both updates are available from Apple.

In the spirit of the holiday season, guitar legend Les Paul has donated one of his personal custom Gibson Les Paul guitars to raise funds for the Uniformed Firefighters Association Widows and Children Fund. The guitar will be up for bid on eBay through December 21 and features a touching September 11 scene, painted by retired NYC fireman, Peter Ortel.
