Plug-in Alliance has just released the Brainworx Engl Amp Bundle, that emulates two Engl amps: the E765 Retro Tube 100 and E646 Victor Smolski Ltd guitar amp heads.
The E765 is a 100W tube amp emulation that offers two channels, each with independent gain boosts, capable of vintage and modern tones ranging from super clean to modern high gain. The gain boost on the second channel emulates an additional tube stage for an even thicker saturated tone. Each channel offers three-band EQ, pre- and post-amp high and low-pass filters, and a lo-fi delay effect.
The Engl E646 VS simulation also offers four channels (Clean, Crunch, and dual Lead channels), a topology aimed at modern metal players, separate 3-band EQs for each channel, and a mid-voice control for the Lead channels. The Clean and Crunch channels offer unique treble controls, and the power amp includes Presence and Depth Punch controls. The amp also offers two master volumes that can be switched on the fly.
The Brainworx team also included 64 impulse responses from three Engl speakers and nine high-end vintage and modern microphone emulations through a Neve VXS72 and various studio gear (Millennia, SPL, and elysia EQs).
