The abbreviation for Pre-Fade Listen, this refers to a function that overrides the normal monitoring path in a mixer in order to monitor a specific signal before the fader takes effect. This means that the position of the fader will have no effect on the sound you are monitoring. Note that this function has no effect on the main mix, just what you are monitoring.
