Hey drummers, check out this Pearl Reference Pure series 4-piece shell pack! This shell pack gives you three toms and a kick drum, and of course I’ve added a snare and cymbals for this video demo.
Pearl’s Reference Pure series is essentially a thin-shelled, low mass version of their popular Reference series drums. The 10″ tom features a 2-ply birch/4-ply maple shell, while the 12″ tom shell is made entirely of maple. The 16″ tom uses a 4-ply mahogany/2-ply maple configuration for enhanced low-frequency response, and the kick sports 6-ply mahogany/2-ply maple construction.
These drums really project and sing in a very musical way. The rack toms have perfect 45-degree bearing edges for a bright, edgy attack, while the floor tom and kick drum have rounded bearing edges for fuller, rounder tone.
