When referring to audio, a “patch point” is a connection that allows signal to flow from one position to another position. Usually, this involves patching a cable from one device to another, but it can also be used to take a signal from one point in a mixer or synthesizer and patch it into another point, bypassing one or more circuits in the normal signal flow path.
