With Apple’s Garage Band 3, you can easily import an iMovie project or any QuickTime video directly into a Garage Band project. When you import video, it appears in a special video preview pane above the Track Info pane, with representative still frames to mark your place. If the video includes audio, that will appear directly below the video. Importing can be done by dragging the video file from the iMovie Media Browser to the timeline or directly from the Finder. The Media Browser allows you to preview clips to make sure you grab the right one.
