Neckplate

A single metal plate through which long screws pass in order to achieve a bolt-on neck attachment, such as those found on most Fender guitars. Some bolt-on neck-to-body joints use separate washers for each screw to assure a tight fit. In some cases, as in commemorative models, a special imprint or graphic design may be used on the neckplate.
