Native Instruments Traktor 2.9 Pro Update Includes Support for Stems

Native Instruments has updated their flagship DJ software, Traktor Pro, to support their brand-new open, multi-channel audio file format, called “Stems.” Stems split a source into four musical elements — for example, drums, bass, vocals, and meldody — and now Traktor can manipulate the elements separately. Specific features of the Traktor 2.9 update include:

  • Stem Decks — a new deck flavor that loads and plays Stem files
  • Native mapping of Stem Deck controls for TRAKTOR KONTROL S8, D2, and F1
  • Stem Decks mix controls can be mapped in Controller Manager
  • CPU performance enhancements and bug fixes
