Special Announcement
Those of you who read inSync on our Web site probably noticed a dramatic change today. Yes, we’ve just rolled out an entirely new Web site. We’ve taken many of your suggestions over the past few months and incorporated them into the new design. Aside from looking entirely different many things are going to work differently. Searches should become more intuitive and yield more relevant results than before, and in general it will be easier to find current information about products. Many things will work the same, but just look different.
Change is a tricky thing because it is almost always uncomfortable. There have been a few aspects of our past designs that we hated to leave behind, but the greater good brought by the new design is worth it. For example, our new home page doesn’t have as many graphics as before, but it loads in way less time. Even though more people are connected to the Internet at high speeds these days we think the time it takes for pages to load is very important.
Since you may be coming directly into inSync we should point out a few of the specific things that have changed. The tabs across the top are pretty self explanatory, but you need to note the row of topics under them will change depending upon which tab is active. This is now where you will find things like our past inSync Summits and the link to the Word for the Day Archives (when you are in the inSync section). You will also notice that the WFTD Archives now work in a better way. Each word has its own Web page so you don’t have to scroll through lists of text anymore.
Some of the most important benefits of this new design will not be noticed for a few months. We’ve done a lot of work in the background creating a new infrastructure that will let us provide you with many more great features and services in the coming months.
We’re still testing and perfecting a number of things and welcome any comments or concerns you may have. As noted above, change is uncomfortable, but the goal in the long run is to make things better for you so let us know about that. Many of the things we changed this round started as suggestions we received from you months ago.
Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming.
We’re getting more and more stuff from Manley Labs all the time. The latest addition to our mammoth inventory is their stereo tube direct interface. The single space device is actually pretty affordable considering the quality and features included. You get variable roll-offs, transformer balanced outputs, level switches, variable input impedance and more.
